Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge?
Wedding coverage starts from $1,500 including GST

I like to keep my packages nice and simple for everyone – feel free to email me for a full price list.
Hand crafted archival fine art albums start at $1,500.

Do you travel?
Absolutely!   In fact I’m actually a bit obsessed with travel, you could say I have Wanderlust and I will go wherever you invite me.
I have shot engagements in Central Park, NYC and in Leicester England, a beautiful elopement in Napa Valley and a gorgeous intimate wedding in the Yarra Valley, another stunning wedding in Melbourne and of course around Queensland, so please feel free to contact me.

What travel costs are involved?
Each wedding is unique and I can prepare a quote for you.  Before I was a photographer, and worked in law, I actually studied to be a travel agent, so I’m pretty good at finding awesome travel deals.  Travel, accommodation and possibly car hire (depending on the location) are the only extra costs that I charge.    I will always keep my costs as economical as possible.

How long will you be there on our wedding day?
My basic package covers 3 hours, and from there it goes to 9 hours coverage. This means I’m there for the preparations through to the dance floor. It’s up to you what time I begin, but we can discuss this in more detail when the time comes.

Do you work with a second shooter?
My packages don’t include a second shooter, however, if you would prefer to have two photographers on your day, that’s totally possible. A second photographer starts at $550 for up to 6 hours. Please contact me for full details and rates.

Can we meet for a chat before the day?
Definitely!  In fact, I would prefer to meet to make sure we’re both suited for each other.  Let’s grab a coffee if you’re in Brisbane.  If you’re a little further away, we can organise a zoom meeting. Either way, I feel it’s extremely important to get to know each other.

How long will it take to get our photos?
This depends on when you’re getting married. In peak wedding season, turn-around for your images will be around 4-6 weeks.  Sneak peaks will also follow after your wedding.

How will we receive our photos?
When your images have been edited and are ready, I can send you a link to your password-protected, online gallery.

Albums are made with fine art paper. They all come with 40 pages which will include highlights of your wedding, telling your story.   If you would prefer an album with more than 40 pages, we can discuss the costs of the extra pages.
Fine art albums start at $1,500.

Do you have an ABN / insurance / backup equipment?
Yes, yes and yes!

How do we book you for our wedding?

To start with, fill in the contact form, with the date and location of your wedding, as well as any other details that you would like to discuss.  The more details the better – it’s a great way for me to get a vibe of your day.  If I’m available, we’ll organise a date to catch up and when you’re ready to proceed, all I need is a signed contract and $750 deposit. Your date will be secured and I only shoot 1 wedding a day!  Bookings are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Do you shoot couple/engagement sessions?
Yes, I do. It’s a great way to get to know each other.  Please contact me for a full price list with all the options.

What does a wedding timeline look like?

Everyone’s timeline will be different, as it depends on where you are getting ready, where your ceremony is, and where your location photos are being taken and of course what time of year your wedding day is.

This is a rough guideline for a 3pm Ceremony in Brisbane City (where everything was in the city – no travelling involved)

12noon – Lisa arrives at the boys preparation (I usually allow 45 minutes with the boys)

1.00pm – Lisa arrives at the bridal preparation (approximately 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes with the girls)

This is when I take candid photos of finishing touches of hair and make up, in your dressing gowns, having a drink with your support crew, and photos of the Dress, flowers, shoes, jewellery, and any other important item

1.30pm –  I recommend Hair and Make to be finished by this time

1.40pm Bridesmaids get dressed and then help the Bride get dressed into her gown

2.00pm Bridesmaids and family photos start (and a great time for your parents to arrive) and stunning bridal photos

2.20pm – 2.30pm Lisa leaves to meet the boys at the Ceremony

2.30pm Meet the boys at the Church / Ceremony for a few more photos of the boys and groom meeting guests

3.00pm – Ceremony commences

3.30pm – Ceremony finishes

3.30pm – 4.00pm – Congratulations / hugs and kisses / group photos and family photos

4.15pm gather bridal party to go to location / bridal photos

5.15pm – location photos finished and head to reception

5.30pm – Either chill out with bridal party or mix and mingle with your guests having drinks and canapes

6.00pm – Guests are seated and reception starts.

This is when your photographer (Lisa) finishes for the day.  Or if you have bought a package to have me cover your reception, I’ll stay on until 9pm and capture all the speeches, cake cutting and of course dancing!!!

Can I put the images on Facebook and Instagram?
You sure can, however please do not to edit the photos (e.g. Instagram filters), and please leave my logo on.  The best compliment you can give, is a referral and sharing with your friends.  If there is anything you are unsure about, please just ask.

I don’t see my question here…

Send me an email at lisa@witheveryheartbeat.com.au or fill in the contact form.

Anything is possible, so please feel free to ask.
